1.GENERAL CONDITIONS

The competitions of cross-country are held in teams and individuals as a relay race that conforms to the most recent technical rules of the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).


The program and the duration of competitions are compiled by the FISU Executives in agreement with the CTI Organization committee. The competitions will last 1 day and will include the following events:


Individual races and team rankings


Men: 10 km.

Women: 10 km.



Relay race.

The mixed relay consists of the participation of four athletes (two men and two women) in a given distance. Normally, there is no passing the baton in a track unless the organizer imposes it. Touching hands or passing bands between athletes would suffice.

The strategy of the race is different from team to team: Deciding to start the race with a man or a woman, finish it with a man or a woman.


Each country can participate in the following events:


Men’s individual test: A maximum of eight (8) competitors per country. No more than six (6) will be allowed to take part in the race.


Women’s individual test: A maximum of eight (8) competitors per country. No more than six (6) will be allowed to take part in the race.


RANKINGS:

-Men’s team ranking :
The first four (4) male athletes who cross the finish line will participate in the team rankings.

- Women’s team ranking:
LThe first four (4) female athletes who cross the finish line will participate in the team rankings.

- -World rankings (men and women):
The first two (2) women and two (2) men who cross the finish line must participate in the World rankings.

-Before the first general technical meeting, the head of delegation or their representative will confirm and sign the official list of competitors recognized by the CIC.

-The team rankings will be carried out as such:

-a. Each race will be rated separately. The team ranking results will be decided by the total track records of athletes of each team.

-b. The team with the least number of points will be declared winner. If a team does not finish with a compete score, the racers within that team who finish will be rated individually and will be eligible for individual rewards.

-c. During the aggregate evaluation, no adjustment shall be made in team based scores to the team racers who don’t score in individual entries.
